Toyota is recalling more than 100,000 SUVs and pickup trucks in the U.S., including Tundra and Lexus LX600 models, due to potential engine debris that could cause stalling, according to the NHTSA. A remedy is currently under development.
Toyota will recall over 100,000 SUVs and pickup trucks in the U.S. due to potential engine debris issues that could cause stalling, as reported by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) on Tuesday.
The recall affects certain Toyota Tundra pickup trucks and Lexus LX600 SUVs, both equipped with the automaker’s V35A six-cylinder engine.
According to the NHTSA, debris from the manufacturing process might contaminate the engine, leading to main bearing failure, which can result in engine stalling and loss of drive power.
The NHTSA also mentioned that a remedy is currently being developed.
