Walmart partners with Burger King to offer Walmart Plus members exclusive meal discounts, including 25% off digital orders and a free Whopper every three months, enhancing its service offerings to compete with Amazon Prime.
Bollywood Fever: Walmart announced on Thursday a new partnership with Restaurant Brands’ Burger King, offering its Walmart Plus members exclusive discounts and meal benefits.
This move is part of Walmart’s strategy to enhance the attractiveness of its membership services as it competes with Amazon’s Prime.
Walmart Plus members will now enjoy 25% off on any digital order at Burger King every day, along with an additional perk starting in September—a free Whopper burger every three months with any purchase at Burger King.
This collaboration aims to attract price-conscious consumers, as both retailers and fast-food chains continue to introduce value deals in response to challenging demand environments.
Walmart Plus, the retail giant’s subscription service, offers plans at $12.95 per month or $98 per year, making it a more affordable option compared to Amazon Prime, which costs $14.99 per month or $139 per year in the United States.
Walmart Plus membership includes a range of digital and in-store benefits, such as free shipping with no minimum order and access to Paramount+ streaming services.
This partnership with Burger King is a strategic move in Walmart’s broader efforts to compete with Amazon.
In a similar vein, Amazon announced in May that its U.S. customers could order from online delivery service Grubhub directly through its app and website, extending a deal that offers Prime members access to Grubhub+ with no delivery fees.
Walmart Plus members can take advantage of the Burger King offer by placing orders through the fast-food chain’s app or website, with the discounts available at locations nationwide.
