John Cena Announces Retirement: WWE Icon to Hang Up Boots After WrestleMania 41
Wrestling legend John Cena will retire after his final match at WrestleMania 41. Cena, who debuted in 2002, leaves behind a legacy of numerous championships and iconic moments.
Bollywood Fever: John Cena announced on Saturday that he will retire from in-ring competition following his final match at WrestleMania 41.
Cena made this emotional announcement during the Money in the Bank live event at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto.
WrestleMania 41 is scheduled for Saturday, April 19, and Sunday, April 20, in Las Vegas.
Cena’s WWE journey began in 2002 when he made his television debut. He quickly rose to the top, capturing the WWE Championship just three years later by defeating John “Bradshaw” Layfield at WrestleMania 21.

Throughout the 2000s and 2010s, Cena was one of WWE’s biggest stars, if not the biggest, winning 13 WWE Championships, three World Heavyweight Championships, and four tag team titles. His accolades also include two Royal Rumble wins, one Money in the Bank victory, and five United States Championships.
At 47, Cena has significantly reduced his wrestling schedule over the past five years. However, he made notable appearances, such as during the Cody Rhodes vs. Roman Reigns main event at WrestleMania XL.
In recent years, Cena has established himself as a Hollywood actor, starring in blockbuster films like the Fast & Furious series, The Suicide Squad, and Barbie, along with appearances in TV shows like “The Bear.
While Cena’s wrestling career is winding down, he has confirmed a series of farewell appearances, including at the first Raw on Netflix, the Royal Rumble, and the Elimination Chamber.
Now it appears Cena’s illustrious wrestling career is officially coming to an end, but fans can look forward to his farewell tour as he bids adieu to the ring.
