New York Jets Emerge as Preseason Favorites to Win AFC East for the First Time Since 1999

As the 2024 NFL season approaches, the New York Jets are favored to win the AFC East for the first time since 1999, fueled by key offseason moves and the arrival of quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Bollywood Fever: As the 2024 NFL regular season draws nearer, anticipation for the New York Jets is at an all-time high.

With the preseason now in the books, new betting odds have been released, marking a significant milestone for the team—one they haven’t achieved in decades.

For the first time since 1999, the Jets are the consensus preseason favorites to win the AFC East. Earlier in the preseason, they were neck-and-neck with their rivals, the Buffalo Bills.

However, with the arrival of quarterback Aaron Rodgers and several strategic offseason additions, the Jets are now poised to capture the division crown for the first time since 2002.

New York Jets

According to the latest betting lines, the Jets lead with +165 odds to win the AFC East, followed closely by the Bills at +195 and the Miami Dolphins at +205.

The New England Patriots are considered long shots with +2500 odds.

The Jets’ primary objective for the upcoming season will be maintaining their health, particularly after Rodgers suffered a season-ending Achilles injury on his first drive in Week 1 last season, which derailed the team’s ambitions.

If Rodgers and the team’s key players can stay on the field, the dream of winning the division could very well become a reality.

The Jets will kick off their quest for the AFC East title in Week 1 against the San Francisco 49ers on September 8.
