Oklahoma City Thunder Sign Isaiah Hartenstein to 3-Year, $87 Million Deal
The Oklahoma City Thunder bolster their frontcourt by signing free agent center Isaiah Hartenstein to a 3-year, $87 million deal.
Bollywood Fever: The Oklahoma City Thunder have strengthened their frontcourt by signing the top free agent center on the market. On Monday morning, they agreed to a 3-year deal worth $87 million with Isaiah Hartenstein, as reported by Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN confirmed the news, while Fred Katz of The Athletic noted that the New York Knicks attempted to retain Hartenstein but were ultimately unsuccessful.
Hartenstein, who has journeyed through various teams in his early career, found a significant role with the Knicks over the last two seasons. He joined New York as a free agent in the 2022 offseason and initially came off the bench before stepping into a starting role this past year due to Mitchell Robinson’s injury. Hartenstein excelled in the starting lineup, particularly during the Knicks’ playoff run, becoming a reliable option for coach Tom Thibodeau amidst mounting injuries.
Now, Hartenstein will bring his talents to an up-and-coming Thunder team, adding physicality to their frontcourt alongside Chet Holmgren. During the 2023-24 regular season, Hartenstein averaged 7.8 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.1 blocks in 25.3 minutes per game.
