Pax Jolie-Pitt Released from ICU After E-Bike Crash, Faces Long Recovery

Bollywood Fever: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s son, Pax Jolie-Pitt, has been released from the ICU following a serious e-bike crash. The 20-year-old is facing a “long road of recovery” and has suffered “complex trauma,” according to a source who spoke to People.
“Pax has been released from the ICU. He suffered complex trauma, and now begins the long road of recovery and physical therapy,” the insider shared.
The source added that Pax and Angelina, 49, “are deeply grateful for the quick and life-saving action of first responders, and the outstanding medical care he received.”
Angelina has remained by her son’s side, with his other siblings visiting and helping during this difficult time. “They are all very close,” the source noted.
Brad Pitt’s representative declined to comment on whether the 60-year-old actor plans to visit his son in the hospital.
The incident occurred on Monday, July 29, when Pax crashed into a car during rush hour in the Los Feliz area of Los Angeles.
He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. Witnesses initially feared the worst as they found Pax lying lifeless on the ground, but he regained consciousness when paramedics arrived.
Reports indicate this is not Pax’s first incident involving two or four-wheeled vehicles. A source told Page Six, “His friends are concerned about him.
He’s being reckless. They’re worried.” The insider added, “He has had a string of car crashes. It’s not great. Pax is a troubled kid, and Angelina is doing her best to help him.”
LAPD sources stated there is nothing new to add to the initial report of the traffic collision. Responding police and paramedics rushed Pax to the hospital after he complained of head pain.
Despite his injuries, Pax’s bike did not show any obvious signs of damage.
Law enforcement sources mentioned that Pax was approaching an intersection when he crashed into the back of a car that had stopped for a red light.
The driver of the car checked on Pax before police and paramedics arrived. Witnesses reported that Pax complained of hip pain and appeared to have injured his head in the crash.
The crash occurred near Angelina’s Los Angeles residence, and she rushed to the hospital to be with her son.
Pax, born in Vietnam, was adopted by Jolie at age three, joining siblings Maddox, 22, and Zahara, 19. He is reportedly close to them as well as siblings Shiloh, 18, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 16.
Maddox and Zahara were adopted by Jolie’s then-partner, Brad, in 2005, and he adopted Pax in 2008. The older children have been estranged from Pitt following an incident on a private airplane in 2016, where Pitt allegedly hit one of his children. No charges were filed after an investigation into the incident.
Jolie and Pitt, though legally divorced, are still entangled in legal battles over the sale of Miraval, the vineyard in France. On Thursday, the Eternals star accused Pitt of trying to have her sign an $8.5 million non-disclosure agreement related to her allegations of abuse.
In court papers, Jolie asserted she “was not acting with malice and the intent to hurt Pitt in response to any custody ruling” when she sold her share of Miraval in 2021.
She claimed it was Pitt who refused to buy her interest unless she agreed to the NDA, enforceable by an $8.5 million holdback, which was designed to force her silence about his alleged abuse.
