Disney Channel alum Skai Jackson will not face domestic battery charges following her August arrest, with the DA’s office declining to file. Jackson looks to move past the misunderstanding.
Bollywood Fever: Skai Jackson, former Disney Channel star, will not face charges after her recent domestic battery arrest.
According to court documents obtained by People, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office declined to pursue the case against Jackson, 22.
“Skai is relieved that the investigation revealed that this was nothing more than a misunderstanding,” a representative for Jackson told Us Weekly on Saturday, September 7. “We appreciate that the DA determined very quickly that there should be no charges of any kind, and Skai looks forward to putting this behind her.”

Jackson was arrested on August 8 for misdemeanor domestic battery after an alleged argument with her boyfriend at Universal Studios in Los Angeles.
Both Jackson and her boyfriend, who has not been publicly identified, denied any physical altercation when questioned by police. Jackson also told authorities that they were engaged and expecting a baby.
Jackson was released on $20,000 bail and has not made further public comments about the incident or her relationship status.
Jackson first rose to fame as Zuri Ross on Jessie and later reprised the role in Bunk’d. She has also appeared in Marvel Rising and Sheroes and competed on Dancing With the Stars season 29.
Despite being in the public eye, Jackson prefers to keep much of her personal life private. In a 2023 social media video, she stated, “Not everybody needs to know every single piece about your life. I like to keep things to myself.”
