Zoey Stark endured a terrifying leg injury during her return match on WWE RAW, forcing the bout to continue without her. Fans and wrestlers alike are rallying around her.
Zoey Stark made a much-anticipated return to WWE Monday Night RAW—but it ended in horror after she suffered a serious leg injury live on air during a Money in the Bank qualifying triple threat match.
The 31-year-old Las Vegas native had been absent from WWE programming for months, and fans were hyped to see her back in the ring as she faced Kairi Sane and Rhea Ripley. But just minutes into the match, Stark attempted a low missile dropkick to Sane’s legs—only for disaster to strike.
As she came off the ropes, Stark’s right leg twisted awkwardly, reportedly bending at a disturbing 90-degree angle. She immediately collapsed, grabbing her knee and screaming in pain, with the distress clearly audible even as the camera cut away.
Commentator Pat McAfee could be seen in shock, his mouth wide open, while Michael Cole narrated the moment, saying:
“Zoe came off the top rope and tried to hit Kairi Sane with that sniper-like dropkick – Sane moved out of harm’s way and Zoe hit hard.”
Silence in the Arena
The crowd fell eerily silent as the situation became clear. Referees and medical staff quickly entered the ring while Rhea Ripley and Kairi Sane paused, visibly concerned for their injured colleague.
The Netflix live feed briefly cut to an impromptu ad break, and when it returned, Stark had been removed from the match, which continued as a one-on-one between Ripley and Sane. Ripley would go on to win the bout.
WWE Yet to Confirm Injury Status
As of now, WWE has not officially confirmed the extent of Stark’s injury. However, the visual alone was enough to send shockwaves through the wrestling world, with fans and fellow performers voicing their concern online.
British wrestler and YouTube personality Simon Miller wrote:
“Just seen the Zoey Stark incident from RAW and as corny as it sounds felt right to just throw some positivity her way. Hope she’s alright. Scary reminder that wrestling at all times is crazy dangerous and you just never know.”
Other fans echoed the sentiment, one writing:
“When we see injuries like Zoey Stark’s in real time it p***** me off when people say wrestling isn’t real. Like it’s staged but the risks are real, the moves are real, and I’m hoping Zoey heals up quickly because that was DEVASTATING.”
Another longtime follower added:
“Been a fan of Zoey since her NXT debut in early 2021 and I hope she’s able to come back from this injury.”
A Tough Blow for a Rising Star
Stark had been gaining traction within the WWE women’s division, and her return to RAW was meant to reignite her momentum. This setback is heartbreaking for fans and the wrestler herself, who now faces an uncertain recovery timeline.
Until an official medical update is released, the WWE Universe remains on edge, hoping this isn’t a long-term injury for one of RAW’s most promising talents.
