Prince Nikolaos and Princess Tatiana of Greece have declared their separation after 14 years of marriage, marking the end of their union. Prince Nikolaos, 54, the youngest son of King Constantine—the last king of Greece—tied the knot with the Venezuelan-born Princess Tatiana, aged 43, in a grand ceremony in August 2010 on the Greek island of Spetses. The event was a gathering of royalty from various countries, including the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, and Spain, as reported by the Telegraph.

The announcement of their separation was made through a statement on the official website of the Greek royal family, which noted, “This decision was reached with great care and mutual respect, reflecting the depth of their appreciation for one another and the moments they have shared.” The statement further emphasized that their future interactions would be based on respect and understanding as they transition to a relationship rooted in strong friendship. Both plan to continue living in Greece, which they consider their home, with ongoing support from their family.

Princess Tatiana previously worked as an events organizer for designer Diana Von Furstenberg, a position she left shortly after her marriage, as per MailOnline. The couple has no children. Prince Nikolaos, the third child of King Constantine II—who passed away on January 10 this year—was recently seen with Princess Tatiana at a Thanksgiving service for his father at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, where they appeared in mourning attire alongside members of both the Greek and British royal families.

King Constantine, closely related to the British monarchy and godfather to Prince William, reigned as Greece’s last king from 1964 until the monarchy was abolished following a military coup and subsequent referendum. After years in exile primarily in London, he returned to Greece in 2013 to spend his final years. Prince Nikolaos is one of Constantine’s five children, alongside Alexia, Pavlos, Theodora, and Philippos.
