Lucas Bravo suggests a surprising resolution to the ‘Emily in Paris’ love triangle, teasing a “throuple” ending in season 4. Discover how the Netflix show could take a twist in its romantic storyline.
Bollywood Fever: Lucas Bravo, the charming French actor behind Gabriel in Emily in Paris, has sparked excitement and curiosity among fans with his latest comments about how the show’s infamous love triangle could potentially resolve.
In an interview with Extra on August 15, Bravo hinted at a unique ending to the romantic tension between Emily, Gabriel, and Alfie.
“From what I gathered, it should end up in a threesome,” Bravo, 36, said, quickly correcting himself. “A throuple. Sorry! Poor choice of words. Or maybe not.”
Emily in Paris, which premiered on Netflix in 2020, has captivated audiences with its vibrant portrayal of life in France and the complicated love life of Emily (played by Lily Collins).

As the show heads into its fourth season, Emily finds herself entangled in a love triangle with Gabriel (Bravo) and Alfie (Lucien Laviscount), adding layers of romantic drama to her Parisian adventures.
In the upcoming season, Emily and Gabriel finally get the timing right and begin dating. However, Bravo teased that the relationship will not be without its challenges. “[Our showrunner] Darren [Star] is all about chaos,” Bravo revealed. “I don’t know how he sleeps at night. It gets worse. I’ll let you discover it.”
For Bravo, exploring Gabriel’s next chapter has been particularly enjoyable. He shared that this season allowed him to reconnect with the playful aspects of love, making it more fun to portray his character.
“It was definitely more fun to play this season — for me. Because when you start reconnecting to love and being playful again, it’s less about chasing after Emily and more about trying to play around it,” Bravo explained.
Director Andy Fleming also weighed in on the evolution of the show and its characters, noting that Emily in Paris is taking a darker and more mature turn in season 4. “The episodes are much more complicated now. They are much more challenging, interesting, and involved more creativity,” Fleming said in an exclusive interview with Us Weekly.
Fleming emphasized how Emily has grown since her arrival in Paris, becoming more confident and less naive.
He also teased that the show’s visual approach this season distinguishes between the emotional dynamics of the love triangle, adding depth and complexity to the relationships.
As fans eagerly await the remaining episodes of season 4, Bravo’s hint at a possible throuple resolution is sure to spark discussions and speculation about how Emily in Paris will navigate the intricate web of love and relationships.
Will Emily, Gabriel, and Alfie find a way to all be happy together? The answer may be just around the corner.
The first half of Emily in Paris season 4 is now streaming on Netflix, with the remaining episodes set to drop on September 12.
