Amazon MiniTV Expands Content Offering in India with New Regional Shows and Dubbed Titles

MiniTV, Amazon’s complimentary ad-supported streaming service exclusive to India, is broadening its offerings across the country by introducing 200 shows targeted at Tamil and Telugu speakers.

This expansion includes a selection of popular Hindi originals now dubbed for regional audiences, such as the action-packed “Hunter- Tootega Nahi Todega,” educational series “Physics Wallah,” patriotic “Rakshak- India’s Braves,” and the youthful romance “Highway Love.”

Additionally, MiniTV will feature dubbed versions of Hollywood hits like “Twilight,” “Now You See Me,” the “Hunger Games” series, the “Step Up” movies, and “Red.” The platform is also set to include Korean, Turkish, and Mandarin shows, though the specific titles and their origins have not been disclosed by Amazon.

“Our goal is to provide our viewers with a personalized and immersive viewing experience […] and ensure that everyone enjoys their favorite shows and movies in their preferred language,” stated Amogh Dusad, head of content at Amazon miniTV.

“This initiative marks a significant milestone and reflects our dedication to cater to the preferences of our regional audiences. The foray will also enable us to associate with new advertisers as well and look forward to building partnerships,” added Aruna Daryanani, director, and business head at Amazon miniTV.

MiniTV is accessible through Amazon’s shopping app, on Prime Video, Free TV, Smart TVs, or via an app from the Play Store.

Previously, the platform has hosted shows like “Half CA,” “Love Adhura,” “Badtameez Dil,” “Hunter,” “Half Love Half Arranged,” “Yeh Meri Family,” “Rakshak – India’s Braves,” “Physics Wallah,” “Rafta Rafta,” “Case Toh Banta Hai,” “Dehati Ladke,” “Sixer,” “Ishq Express,” “Highway Love,” “Gutar Gu,” “Crushed,” and “Playground.”
