Australian Federal Court Imposes Travel Ban on Ex-Blockchain Global Director Liang Guo
Bollywoodfever, February 29: The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has obtained orders from the federal court to restrict the travel of Liang Guo, also known as Allan Guo, a former director of the now-defunct Blockchain Global Limited.
Per a recent ASIC announcement, the court has mandated that Guo is prohibited from leaving Australia or attempting to do so until August 20, 2024.

This decision was made following a hearing on February 20, 2024, prompted by ASIC’s concern over the possibility of Guo exiting the country.
Notably, Guo was absent from the hearing.
The investigation by ASIC into Guo, alongside other former directors of Blockchain Global, Samuel Xue Lee and Zijang (Ryan) Xu, is ongoing.
This follows the failure of the ACX Exchange, a cryptocurrency exchange operated by Blockchain Global from January 2016 to December 2019.
After Blockchain Global was assigned liquidators on February 11, 2022, a report was filed on November 1, 2023, indicating potential violations of the Corporations Act 2001 of Australia.
A further court hearing is scheduled for March 12, 2024.
