Bethenny Frankel criticized Kelly Rowland for displaying “diva expectations” after the singer exited the “Today” show due to dressing room concerns.
In a now-deleted TikTok video, the “Real Housewives of New York City” alum recounted her own experiences co-hosting with Hoda Kotb, highlighting the modest makeup area and cramped dressing rooms.
Frankel emphasized the importance of humility and gratitude when appearing on a prestigious platform like the “Today” show, noting that luxury dressing rooms are not a priority for such a reputable news organization.
Acknowledging the communal makeup area and less-than-stellar catering on the morning show, Frankel stressed that being part of the “Today” team alongside host Hoda Kotb should be viewed as an honor rather than an opportunity for diva-like behavior.
Frankel’s remarks followed Page Six’s exclusive report detailing Rowland’s abrupt withdrawal from her guest-hosting duties on “Today with Hoda & Jenna” due to dissatisfaction with her dressing room conditions.
“I’ve co-hosted with Hoda [Kotb] and I’ve arrived there and the makeup area that you touch up in is often a drop cloth, like, a black drop off,” the “Real Housewives of New York City” alum said in a now-deleted TikTok video.
“And then your dressing room is the size of a closet and you’re trying to fit all your people in the clown car. And you know what? You’re so excited. You’re so gracious.”
Frankel added, “You’re co-hosting on the ‘Today’ show, an institution in entertainment, a news organization that is not about fancy dressing rooms.”
“That was not the moment for diva expectations,” she concluded.
