Bobbi Althoff clarifies postpartum weight gain as the reason behind her appearance changes, denying cosmetic surgery rumors and calling out online trolls for their harsh comments.
Bollywood Fever: Bobbi Althoff, the popular host of the “Really Good Podcast,” has taken to social media to address the rumors and criticisms about her appearance.
The 27-year-old influencer has faced a barrage of comments from internet trolls accusing her of undergoing extensive cosmetic surgery, claims she firmly denies.
In a video posted on her Instagram on Monday, Althoff expressed frustration with the ongoing speculation, stating,
“I am so tired of all of the comments of people saying, ‘She ruined her face’ and ‘She can’t even move her face; it’s so frozen. She has so much filler.’” She then set the record straight, revealing that the only cosmetic procedure she has had is a “little bit of filler” in her upper lip.
Althoff explained that the changes in her appearance are due to postpartum weight gain after she stopped breastfeeding her 2-year-old daughter, Isla, whom she shares with her ex-husband, tech executive Cory Althoff. “I do not have cheek filler,” she insisted, attributing her fuller face to the 20 pounds she gained after ceasing breastfeeding. “A lot of that went into my face,” she added.
To further prove her point, Bobbi exaggerated facial expressions, emphasizing, “My face is not frozen.”
Despite trying to ignore the negativity, Althoff admitted that the constant criticism can be overwhelming. “But it’s like, can a girl gain some weight in her face without you guys f–king saying she has cheek filler?” she questioned. “And can a girl be insecure about her upper lip and get some f–king lip filler without you guys f–king commenting on it?”
The social media star, who has gone viral for her interviews with celebrities like Drake and Offset, expressed frustration with the relentless trolling, saying, “You don’t have to call me out on my insecurities, and when I do something to f–king change them, ’cause you guys will also be the first people to say, ‘Oh where is her upper lip?’ the second I don’t f–king have lip filler, so nothing is gonna make you f–king happy.
Althoff also took the opportunity to call out her “haters” for their public comments, which she finds particularly troubling. “Really, the bigger issue is that you people seem to not care about your digital footprint,” she remarked. She questioned the behavior of those who leave negative comments, stating, “I don’t know a single successful person, or normal person, who leaves hater comments under anything.”
Encouraging her critics to reflect on their actions, Bobbi suggested, “Like, send my f–king video in your group message,” instead of leaving public comments that she describes as “weird behavior.”
Althoff reminded her audience that she is a “real f–king person” who reads all the comments, and that the harsh words can be “pretty f–king brutal.” However, she made it clear that while the trolls’ comments may be embarrassing for them, they do not affect her personal life. “Rest assured that all of my bills are paid, my kids are good, my friends are good, everyone in my life is good,” she said. “The only thing that isn’t good is you, apparently, ’cause you’re a f–king weirdo.”
Althoff concluded by encouraging her online bullies to focus on their own lives and find success instead of harboring jealousy towards her. Reflecting on her journey, she shared, “The internet is an amazing place because there’s so much opportunity on it, and I know that when I started on the internet, I knew I wanted to grow a platform, and I knew I wanted to make money from it.”
Despite the negativity, Bobbi expressed gratitude to her supporters, acknowledging the positive side of her online presence. She ended her video by thanking those who have stood by her throughout her career.
Althoff, who recently settled her divorce from Cory Althoff in February, continues to focus on her work and raising their two daughters, Isla and 3-year-old Luca, while navigating the challenges of being in the public eye.
