Canada to Invest CA$2.4 Billion in AI Sector in Upcoming Budget

On Sunday, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced that the forthcoming budget will feature a CA$2.4 billion (approximately US$1.77 billion) initiative aimed at bolstering the nation’s artificial intelligence (AI) sector, as per a recent news release.

This financial package is set to allocate CA$2 billion towards the development and provision of advanced computing capabilities and technological infrastructure, supporting Canada’s AI researchers, startups, and scale-ups. 

The budget containing these measures is scheduled to be presented on April 16.
