Dead Island: Riptide” Now Free While “Dead Island 2” Receives Steam Release Date
Developer Dambuster Studios has announced that Dead Island 2 will debut on Steam on April 22. To mark the occasion, publisher Deep Silver is rolling out promotions for the series.
To kick things off, Dead Island: Riptide Definitive Edition is currently free on Steam until February 15. Additionally, Dead Island Definitive Edition and Dead Island: Retro Revenge are available at a discount of 85% and 75% respectively.
The latter is a side-scrolling game crafted by Empty Clip Studios, recognized for their work on other small side-scrolling titles such as A King’s Tale: Final Fantasy XV, Streets of Kamurocho, and Gargoyles Remastered.
Dead Island 2 initially launched on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via the Epic Games Store on April 21, 2022. With its year-long exclusivity period on the Epic Games Store now concluded, the game is making its way to Steam.
In November 2023, Dead Island 2 received its first DLC story expansion, titled Haus. The second story expansion, named SOLA Festival, is slated for release sometime this year.
