Spice, born Isis Naija Gaston on January 1, 2000, is an American rapper hailing from the Bronx, New York City.
She emerged onto the music scene in 2021, propelled by her encounter with record producer RiotUSA.
In late 2022, Ice Spice gained significant attention with her track “Munch (Feelin’ U)”, which quickly gained viral popularity on TikTok.
This success was followed by the release of singles like “Bikini Bottom” and “In Ha Mood”, paving the way for her debut extended play, titled Like..? (2023). Ice Spice made her debut appearance on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart with the collaboration “Gangsta Boo” featuring Lil Tjay.
Notably, her collaborations with PinkPantheress on “Boy’s a Liar Pt. 2”, with Nicki Minaj on “Princess Diana”, and with Taylor Swift on “Karma” reached numbers three, four, and two on the Hot 100, respectively.
This achievement solidified her status as the artist with the most top-five singles on the Hot 100 in 2023. Additionally, Ice Spice contributed to the soundtrack of the upcoming fantasy comedy film Barbie with the song “Barbie World”, a collaboration with Minaj and Aqua.
