Tristan Thompson has come under fire from Kardashian fans following a conversation with his ex, Khloe Kardashian, about potentially living together again.
In one scene, Khloe, 39, visited Tristan, 32, and they had an awkward conversation in their six-year-old daughter True’s room.
In a confessional, the Good American co-founder shared that she felt relief when the NBA star had his own home and wasn’t living with her.
During their conversation, Tristan suggested they might live together again.
“I mean, we can just combine both houses and live one big happy family,” the Cleveland Cavaliers player proposed.
Khloe shook her head and declined.
Tristan continued, “We can make a big trail, like a big tunnel, like an overpass from here to your house.”
“That’s normal,” the mom of two replied awkwardly.
“We’re a great dynamic duo, like peanut butter and jelly,” Tristan said with a smile.
In her confessional, Khloe reflected on their past relationship, saying, “Like, c’mon. You know where I stand. Sometimes I hate how much I have to think and be on guard to not do anything that might ever give a glimmer that there’s hope.”
At the end of their conversation, the ex-couple shared an awkward hug that lasted a bit too long for Khloe’s liking.
“You gotta let go,” she said quietly as Tristan followed behind her, waving to Khloe while she spoke with a Hulu producer.
After the episode aired, a short clip of Khloe and Tristan’s conversation surfaced on a Kardashian-themed Reddit forum, sparking criticism from fans.
“He’s so cringey and embarrassing, my god,” one fan commented.
“I can’t even watch him; it gives me so much second-hand embarrassment,” echoed another.
A third fan remarked, “These scenes are starting to feel scripted to make Khloe seem like she’s setting boundaries. Stop entertaining the same conversation over & over again; if you’re tired of hearing it, we’re tired of seeing it.”
A fourth speculated, “I think the ONLY reason why she didn’t get back with him again was because his cheating was public and she doesn’t want to face backlash from people. Had it not been so public, she would definitely still be with him.”
