The post honored her achievements, noting, “During that time, she attended the Pro Bowl as the Chiefs representative in 2015, served as a captain of her team, cheered during the London game, and visited our troops around the world, including in Iraq, Kuwait, and throughout the United States.” It emphasized how Krissy’s presence was cherished by teammates, fans, and all who met her, stating she made strangers feel like friends instantly.

Post-cheerleading, Krissy played a vital role in alumni activities, contributing her time to game days, practice sessions, and events. The team expressed their sorrow, missing her “kind spirit, joyful energy, and her sparkle,” and shared their intention to honor her legacy in the future.

A GoFundMe page set up in her memory revealed Krissy passed away on March 20 after a valiant fight against sepsis, which occurred following the loss of her daughter Charlotte during childbirth at the 21-week mark of pregnancy.

Despite medical intervention and three surgeries, the battle against sepsis, which led to organ failure, ended tragically.

This was a second stillbirth for Krissy and her husband Clayton Anderson, who had previously lost their son James.

The fundraising goal to support her family was quickly surpassed, reflecting the community’s love and support.

The page described Krissy as a beacon of joy and love, whose “radiant smile could light up the darkest room, and her sassy responses never failed to bring laughter and joy.”

Krissy’s husband, Clayton, shared his grief with Fox 4, stating, “I feel lost. There’s a lot of people in this house and it feels empty,” and reminisced about their “joyful love.”
