Former Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh shares romantic photos with 101 Dalmatians co-star Samuel Thomas, calling him the “most amazing man ever” amid their blossoming relationship.
Bollywood Fever: Kym Marsh, the former Coronation Street actress, has shared a romantic photo on Instagram with her co-star Samuel Thomas, declaring him the “most amazing man ever.“
The 48-year-old actress, currently starring in the UK and Ireland tour of 101 Dalmatians, posted a picture of the pair sharing a kiss. In her caption, she wrote, “Met the most amazing man ever! Sometimes the most unexpected things happen at the most unexpected times. @samuelthomasuk I love you #beautiful #soulmate #loveyou”.
Kym and Samuel, 29, are co-starring in the musical, with Kym portraying Cruella de Vil and Samuel playing Tom Dearly. Their chemistry on stage seems to have sparked a real-life romance.
Samuel, who stands at 6ft tall, has an impressive stage resume, including roles in “The Normal Heart” at The National Theatre and winning the Best Actor in a Musical award at The Stage Debut Awards in 2017 for his performance in “Allegro” at Southwark Playhouse. He also expressed his affection for Kym on Instagram, sharing a black-and-white photo of them touching foreheads, captioned, “I didn’t expect you, but here you are. I love you,” with a red heart emoji. Kym responded: “Ditto. The best things happen unexpectedly. Love you too.”
This new romance comes just a year after Kym split from her Army Major husband Scott Ratcliffe, following a whirlwind two-year marriage. The couple tied the knot in October 2021 but parted ways in May 2023. Reflecting on her past relationship with The Guardian, Kym said, “It’s just experience.” She added, “Comfortable is not good. I always want to be that person who has a go, because I wouldn’t want to sit there years down the line and say: ‘I wonder what would have happened if …?’”
Kym has had several high-profile romances over the years. She was previously married to former EastEnders star Jack Ryder, whom she met in a BBC canteen. They married in 2002 but divorced in 2009. Kym then dated Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas, with whom she had a daughter, Polly, in 2011. The couple married in 2012 but divorced in 2014. She also briefly dated her Coronation Street co-star Oliver Mellor in 2013.
Before her rise to fame, Kym was engaged to Dave Cunliffe, the father of her children David and Emily. They met in 1994 but ended their relationship in 1999.
