Bollywoodfever, March 10: Margot Robbie concluded the award season with an elegantly understated ensemble that distinctly diverges from her usual Barbie-inspired looks.
At the 2024 Academy Awards, her stylist, Andrew Mukamal, selected a shimmering strapless black dress by Versace for Robbie, featuring a meticulously structured bodice and elegantly draped waist.
Opting for simplicity, Robbie styled her blonde locks in an unassuming manner and accessorized with a single bracelet from Fred Leighton to add a touch of sparkle.
The star of “Barbie,” known for channeling her character’s style throughout the past year, chose a notably subdued appearance for the Oscars, despite the event’s significance in Hollywood.
In contrast, her co-star America Ferrera embraced a more vibrant approach on Sunday evening, wearing Barbie pink for the first time during the award season, also in a Versace creation.
While speculation remains, it seems plausible that Robbie, who also contributed as a producer on “Barbie,” decided to step back for the Oscars, allowing other members of the “Barbie” ensemble, including Ferrera, to shine.
