However, insiders close to the situation have brushed off the rumors, attributing the awkward moment to Kidman’s frustration with braying photographers rather than a personal clash with Hayek.
According to reports from the event, the two actresses were exchanging advice after posing for pictures with singer Katy Perry when Kidman, 57, walked away, reportedly tired of the relentless calls from photographers.
A source close to Kidman emphasized, “They are friends and are fine despite what anyone thinks,” adding, “Nicole is not rude. At all. She may be awkward at times, but she is not rude.”
Footage from the event shows Kidman, wearing oversized black sunglasses, swatting away Hayek’s hand as she motioned for a photo.
Fans were quick to flood Kidman’s Instagram with comments questioning her behavior, while some supported Hayek, noting her apparent composure.
