Bollywood Fever: Patrick Mahomes has announced that he is ‘done’ having kids after his wife Brittany revealed they are expecting their third child. In a heartwarming video posted on Instagram last week, Brittany shared her pregnancy news, showing off baby scans alongside Patrick and their two children: daughter Sterling Skye, three, and son Patrick ‘Bronze’ Lavon Mahomes III, one.

During an interview at the Chiefs training camp on Tuesday, Mahomes confirmed that their next child will be their last. “I’m done, I’ll say that,” he told reporters with a smile. “I said three [children] and I’m done. No, it’s awesome. I always wanted to have kids young.”

Reflecting on his own childhood, Mahomes mentioned the influence of growing up around professional sports, thanks to his father, baseball player Patrick Mahomes Sr. “I got to grow up in the locker room, and it made such an impact in my life. And so, I wanted to have kids young and we’re having a third kid now to join our family.”

He praised his wife Brittany for her role in their family, noting, “Brittany does a great job of doing that and we still go out and enjoy our life, and let our kids see these great things.”

The couple, who married in 2022 after a decade together, welcomed their second child, son Patrick ‘Bronze’, on November 28, 2022, and their daughter Sterling Skye on February 20, 2021.

The announcement was met with congratulations from various celebrities. WNBA star Caitlin Clark commented, “Awhhh congrats!!!” while Jena, wife of golf star Brooks Koepka, added, “Good things happen in 3’s – congrats!”

Despite their busy family life, Mahomes and Brittany still make time for themselves. Recently, they traveled to Europe to attend Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour and Mahomes even joined teammate Travis Kelce for a round of golf in London.

As Mahomes returns to Kansas City, he prepares for the upcoming NFL season with hopes of leading his team to an unprecedented three-peat of championships. “I spend so much time in the building, at football for these seven, eight months,” he said. “And whenever I’m with my family I wanna enjoy those moments.”
