Pom Klementieff is not part of the cast for Superman Legacy
Contrary to reports, Pom Klementieff is not part of the cast for “Superman Legacy,” as confirmed by the film’s director and DC co-boss James Gunn on social media. The confirmed cast includes David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, along with Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio, and Sean Gunn. Anthony Carrigan, Isabel Merced, and Nathan Fillion are reportedly cast as Metamorpho, Hawkgirl, and Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, respectively.
The movie, directed by James Gunn and produced by Peter Safran, marks the inaugural film in the newly revamped DC Studios, titled “Gods and Monsters.” Currently in preparation for a shoot in Georgia, “Superman Legacy” is scheduled for release on July 11, 2025.
Speaking about the film earlier in the year, Safran stated, “It’s not an origins story; it focuses on Superman’s balancing his Kryptonian heritage with his human upbringing. He’s the embodiment of truth, justice, and the American way, he’s kindness in a world that thinks of kindness as old-fashioned.”
Meanwhile, DC’s “Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom” is set to open on Dec. 22, aiming for a $45M-$50M 4-day opening. The broader Superman Warner Bros franchise, including “Batman v. Superman,” has collectively grossed $2.56 billion worldwide across seven titles.
