Bollywood Fever: Is romance blossoming between Lucy Hale and John Owen Lowe? The pair certainly set tongues wagging after being spotted together over the weekend.
The 35-year-old actress and 29-year-old actor/writer were photographed leaving the Tocaya Modern Mexican restaurant in Studio City on Saturday. John carried a white to-go bag while Lucy sported a casual yet chic look with a black sleeveless top, high-waisted light blue jeans, black slide sandals, and black sunglasses. John, son of Rob Lowe, matched the casual vibe with a sleeveless cream-knit vest and beige loose pants.
Though neither Hale nor Lowe has confirmed or denied the dating rumors, they do follow each other on Instagram. Speculation began when Hale commented on one of Lowe’s posts back in April, celebrating his six-year sobriety anniversary.
“Six years ago today I took my last sip of alcohol. If you or anyone you know is struggling with addiction, reach out. Ask for help. I did and it changed my life,” Lowe captioned the inspiring post. Hale, who has been open about her own struggles with addiction, commented, “This is amazing. You are amazing. Bright & shiny human ❤.”
In February 2023, Hale revealed on Instagram that she had celebrated one year of sobriety, sharing a photo of a sprinkle-covered cake with “1 Year!” written in icing. “This is a post about self-love and about the greatest thing I’ve ever done,” she wrote. Hale further opened up about her journey on the Call Her Daddy podcast, sharing her early experiences with alcohol and the pivotal moment she sought help at 23.
Meanwhile, Lowe and his father, Rob Lowe, are preparing for the release of Unstable season 2 on Netflix, premiering August 1. The father-son duo plays a tech CEO and his son in the series, where John’s character steps in to help his father’s company during a crisis.
In a June interview, John joked about their future collaborations, saying, “I got to get away from you, man. I got to go do some other stuff… Maybe in like 10 years.”
