Single Mother Launches Fundraiser After Car Totaled in Crash Involving Chiefs’ Rashee Rice
Kayla Quinn, a 27-year-old single mom, has initiated a $20,000 GoFundMe campaign to finance a new car and address damages following a severe multi-vehicle accident in Dallas, Texas, allegedly involving Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice. The collision, which occurred on March 30, 2024, resulted in the total loss of Quinn’s white Hyundai Accent, struck by Rice’s Corvette and a Lamborghini. Quinn and her 4-year-old son miraculously survived the ordeal, though she described the incident as nearly fatal.
Quinn recounted the terrifying moment on her fundraising page: “As many of you local Dallas Ft. Worth resident may know, my 4-year-old son and I were the first to be hit by two persons speeding down highway 75 on Saturday March 30, 2024 and they ran away from the scene. Therefore, I don’t have any information to contact their insurance to get transportation for work or my kids.”
Expressing her gratitude for their survival, Quinn emphasized the urgent need for financial assistance to replace her destroyed vehicle, stating, “At this point I need help. My car was totaled and I need funds to purchase a new vehicle and I need your assistance. All donations are greatly appreciated.”
As the community rallies to support her, Quinn has raised $155 toward her goal, with contributions continuing to come in. Meanwhile, Rashee Rice is said to be cooperating with the police investigation into the crash, which allegedly saw him and other individuals flee the scene. Quinn accused the individuals involved of showing “no sympathy” before departing.
Rice, a 23-year-old Super Bowl champion with the Chiefs and a native of Texas, is at the center of this unfolding story. Dashcam footage captured the high-speed collision that led to a “chain reaction collision involving four other vehicles,” according to reports, adding to the gravity of the situation as investigations proceed.
