Bollywood Fever: Taylor Swift was left stunned when Simone Biles chose her song “Ready For It” for her floor routine during the USA gymnastics trials for the Paris Olympics. The four-time Olympic gold medalist, 27, has been competing to secure her spot on the team for next month’s games in France, channeling Swift’s energy in her performance on Friday.
Despite being in the middle of her hugely successful Eras Tour in Europe, with recent shows in Dublin, Swift took notice of Biles’ inspiring routine. Responding to footage shared by the NBC Olympics account on X (formerly Twitter), Swift expressed her excitement: “Watched this so many times and still unready. She’s ready for it tho.”
Biles acknowledged the comment by retweeting Swift’s post, though she didn’t reply directly to the singer.
Similar to Swift’s public relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce, Biles has had her own NFL support. Jonathan Owens, who was traded to the Chicago Bears from the Green Bay Packers in the offseason, has been cheering her on at the Target Center in Minneapolis.
Swift, meanwhile, is two months into her Eras Tour dates in Europe, which will continue through mid-August. She plays her final Dublin show on Sunday night before heading to Amsterdam, Zurich, and Milan.
Last week in London, Swift had a special moment with Kelce as he joined her onstage for the performance of “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.”
