Since its arrival on Netflix, The Great Indian Kapil Show has faced challenges. The premiere episode didn’t receive the expected grand welcome, and now, after four weeks, it has dropped out of Netflix’s Top 10 Global List.

However, the most disheartening part is that this exit coincides with the airing of the best episode of the show to date, featuring Aamir Khan. His appearance on episode 5 breathed new life into the show.

The Great Indian Kapil Show had been dominating Netflix’s Top 10 Global Charts since its debut in March. The first four episodes featured Ranbir Kapoor, Rohit Sharma and Shreyas Iyer, Amar Singh Chamkila’s team, and Vicky & Sunny Kaushal, respectively.

Despite the highlight of Aamir Khan’s episode, an underwhelming fourth episode with Vicky & Sunny Kaushal led to the show dropping out of Netflix’s global top 10 list. Over the four weeks, the show amassed 8 million views, with the second week garnering the most views.

The sixth episode, featuring Sunny Deol & Bobby Deol, has also been well-received. Hopefully, it will help Kapil Sharma regain a spot on Netflix’s global charts, considering the show is streaming in 140 countries.

Kapil Sharma made his Netflix debut with a comedy special recently. However, bringing his entire team to Netflix might not have been successful, mainly due to the nature of releasing episodes weekly.

The Great Indian Kapil Show could see a resurgence once the entire season is aired, as the OTT audience prefers binge-watching an entire season at once. The celebrity chat show debuted in late March, entering the global charts at number 3 with 2.5 million views.
