Trivia
Aamir Khan was originally offered the role of Romi but felt the role was too small for him.
Sanjay Dutt was originally chosen to play the role of Anand and even shot some scenes for the film. However, because he had to serve a short prison sentence, the role had to be recast. ‘Sunny Deol’ was offered the role but turned it down. ‘Anil Kapoor’ was then offered the role and accepted.
Manish Koirala was the first choice for GautamI’s role. Pooja Bhatt was the first choice for Anjali’s role.
Sanjay Dutt shot almost the entire film in 1994, he only needed to complete the climax of the film which was pending for a long time till the role went to Anil Kapoor
