Veruca Salt, Social Media Influencer, Shares Heartfelt Farewell to Son Who Passed Away at Six Weeks Old
Australian social media influencer Veruca Salt, known in real life as Kimberley Summer Hartley, has shared a poignant tribute online to her son, who tragically passed away at just six weeks old.
Hartley, 25, welcomed her baby boy, Cash, on December 19. However, on February 5, she revealed on Instagram that Cash had passed away in his sleep.
Recently, Hartley uploaded a TikTok video capturing the funeral service for Cash, set to Taylor Swift’s poignant rock ballad “Long Live.”
The video showed moments of comfort as Hartley was consoled by friends amidst the release of black and white balloons.
A board at the service displayed a picture of Cash alongside the words, “forever dancing with the fruits.” Brightly colored fairy bread and cakes adorned the spread.
The video concluded with touching footage of Cash being comforted by his mother, even sharing a little baby grin.
Heartfelt messages poured in on social media, with one commenter expressing a willingness to sacrifice time for Hartley to spend more with her son.
Another offered condolences, wishing Cash eternal peace alongside the “dancing fruits.”
Prior to Cash’s passing, Hartley had shared numerous moments of motherhood with her newborn on TikTok, garnering millions of views.
However, on February 6, she announced Cash’s untimely death, expressing uncertainty about the cause despite an impending autopsy.
A few hours earlier, she had shared a light-hearted moment with her followers, joking about Cash’s feeding habits.
However, she later revealed concern about his health, taking him to the hospital due to a lack of bowel movements.
Upon returning home, Hartley reassured her audience that Cash was “fine,” unaware that those moments would be among her last with him.
On February 10, the Courier Mail reported that Queensland Police were investigating Cash’s sleeping arrangements as part of inquiries into his death.
Despite this, authorities have stated that the circumstances surrounding Cash’s passing are not considered suspicious.
