England claims a stunning innings and 47-run victory over Pakistan in the first Test, thanks to standout performances from Harry Brook, Joe Root, and Jack Leach.
BollywoodFever: England completed a remarkable innings and 47-run victory over Pakistan on the fifth day of the opening Test, overcoming a spirited resistance from the depleted home side in Multan. Pakistan, resuming on 152-6, were bowled out for 220, with Abrar Ahmed unable to bat due to illness, sparking jubilant celebrations from the travelling English fans.

Salman Agha, who had put up a defiant fight with a 63, was the first to fall in the morning after a crucial 109-run partnership with Aamer Jamal. England’s Jack Leach made a key impact, breaking the partnership and later pulling off a stunning catch to dismiss Shaheen Afridi, before stumping Naseem Shah to seal the victory.
Despite Pakistan’s early resistance, with Jamal recovering from a blow to the head and scoring 55 not out, England’s relentless bowling attack proved too strong. England’s 823-7 declared, their highest total in 86 years, was powered by Harry Brook’s brilliant 317 and Joe Root’s 262, giving the tourists a commanding lead after Pakistan posted 556 in their first innings.
England captain Ollie Pope led his side through a challenging test, overcoming dropped catches to secure a historic win at Multan Cricket Stadium.
