Bethenny Frankel Sparks Romance Rumors with Artist Niclas Castello in Saint Tropez
Bethenny Frankel and German artist Niclas Castello ignited romance rumors during a beach day in Saint Tropez with her 14-year-old daughter, Bryn. On Wednesday, the 53-year-old “Real Housewives of New York City” star and the 46-year-old sculptor were seen enjoying the sun and lounging on adjacent chairs. Frankel beamed in a bright orange one-piece swimsuit, accessorized with a chunky gold necklace, matching bracelets, a wide-brimmed hat, and black sunglasses.
The pair appeared to be in high spirits, with Frankel laughing at Castello’s jokes. At one point, she showed him something on her phone before they headed into the ocean for a dip. Castello sported a backwards green Knicks baseball cap and blue and white patterned swim trunks. Previously, he was married to Sylvie Meis, often dubbed the “Dutch Victoria Beckham.” They married in September 2020 but amicably separated in the summer of 2023.
Meanwhile, it was revealed in May that Bethenny ended her engagement to real estate investor Paul Bernon after an on-off relationship since 2018. The split occurred around March, but Bethenny kept the estimated $1 million engagement ring. She later explained that the breakup was mutual and initiated by her due to unhappiness. Paul quickly moved on with Aurora Culpo, though their relationship ended after two months.
During her emotional recount on her podcast, Bethenny admitted it was difficult hearing about Paul’s new relationship. She recalled, “Hearing about your ex-fiancé committing to another woman shortly thereafter on their first date… was gutting.” Bethenny and Paul had initially started dating in 2018, separated in 2020, reunited in 2021, and got engaged that March.
Bethenny shares a 14-year-old daughter, Bryn Hoppy, with her second ex-husband, Jason Hoppy. Their nearly nine-year custody battle ended in December 2021, with Bethenny stopping child support payments. The tumultuous divorce, filled with public legal battles and personal accusations, lasted far longer than their two-year marriage.
