Brawl Erupts Between Golfers at Canadian Course After Repeated Ball Strikes
A fight broke out at Riverway Golf Course in British Columbia after one group repeatedly hit their balls at another. Police are investigating the incident.
Canada, Bollywood Fever: A fight between two groups of golfers erupted after one pairing allegedly continued hitting their balls at the other. The altercation occurred last Saturday at the Riverway Golf Course in British Columbia, Canada.
Video footage of the incident begins with two players on the ground, surrounded by six others standing nearby. The situation escalated when a man, seemingly attending to an injured woman, reignited the melee by delivering a swift kick to another person’s head. The kick was so forceful that the attacker was knocked off his feet, allowing the victim and his friend to retaliate.
As the brawl continued, several punches and kicks were exchanged. One man on the ground was rolled over amidst the chaos. A man can be heard shouting, “Fing stop” before immediately asking, “Are you guys r***d?“
According to Burnaby, BC police, as reported by the New York Post, the fight broke out around 10:40 a.m. local time because “one group of golfers had allegedly almost hit the other group with their ball on several occasions.” An RCMP representative also told the Post that one woman sustained minor injuries when she was pushed to the ground.
When police arrived at the scene, they separated the two groups and escorted them off the grounds. Investigators are now examining evidence and witness statements to determine if charges will be filed.
