Having grappled with an undisclosed and severe health condition that had kept him away from both the wrestling ring and television screens, his sudden and unexpected demise has been confirmed by family members.
In a recent Twitter/X update, Paul Levesque shared, “Just received a call from WWE Hall of Famer Mike Rotunda who informed us of the tragic news that our WWE family member for life Windham Rotunda – also known as Bray Wyatt – unexpectedly passed earlier today. Our thoughts are with his family and we ask that everyone respect their privacy at this time.”
As a member of the third generation in his wrestling lineage, Windham Rotunda was the son of Mike Rotunda and the grandson of Blackjack Mulligan. He gained significant recognition as the driving force behind the Wyatt Family faction and the innovative mind behind The Firefly Funhouse, which showcased his captivating Fiend alter-ego.
Throughout his WWE career, Rotunda took center stage in main event matches, emerging as a crucial element in WWE’s future during his prime years. He held both the prestigious top singles and tag team titles within the organization.
His initial appearance on WWE television occurred as part of The Nexxus, under the ring name Husky Harris.
