Arthur O Urso, a Brazilian man with nine wives, has scrapped his “sex rota” after finding it too stressful and structured, leading to problems in his polyamorous marriage.
Bollywood Fever: Arthur O Urso, a Brazilian man who made headlines for marrying nine women to “celebrate free love” and protest against monogamy, has abandoned the “sex rota” he created to manage intimacy with his wives.
The arrangement, which was meant to ensure each partner received equal attention, quickly became a source of stress and conflict.
Arthur, who formalized his union with his first wife Luana Kazaki and eight other women in a symbolic ceremony at a Catholic church in São Paulo, found that trying to stick to a strict schedule for intimacy was more trouble than it was worth.
Although the marriages are not legally binding due to Brazil’s laws against polygamy, the unconventional relationship garnered significant attention.
The challenges of maintaining balance in such a large marriage became apparent when one wife, Agatha, decided to leave the group, citing her desire for a monogamous relationship.
This left Arthur and his remaining wives grappling with how to manage their complex relationship dynamics.
Arthur explained that the sex rota, which was intended to fairly distribute his time and affection among his wives, led to unintended consequences.
“They all want to fulfill my sexuality at any cost, and they are happy to make it their goal,” he said. “But following a timetable caused a lot of problems. Sometimes I felt like I had to have sex because of the schedule, and not for pleasure.”
He also admitted that the rigid structure of the rota sometimes left him distracted, thinking about other wives while with one.
The pressure to adhere to the schedule eventually became overwhelming, leading Arthur to abandon the system in favor of a more spontaneous approach.
“It didn’t seem right, so we got rid of it, and now the sex flows naturally. It’s been great,” Arthur said.
He emphasized that the new, more relaxed approach has improved their collective experience, with each wife bringing her unique personality and preferences to the relationship.
However, Arthur acknowledged that jealousy can still surface, particularly when it comes to gifts or perceived favoritism. “When I have given one of them an expensive gift and another a smaller or cheaper one, there has been jealousy among them,” he noted.
Despite the challenges, Arthur remains committed to his polyamorous lifestyle, even as he navigates the complexities of having multiple partners.
Although Agatha’s departure was a setback, Arthur has decided not to replace her for the time being, focusing instead on maintaining harmony with his remaining wives.
Arthur’s experience highlights the difficulties of managing relationships within a polyamorous marriage, especially when it involves multiple partners with varying needs and expectations.
As he continues to learn and adapt, Arthur remains dedicated to finding balance and happiness within his unique family structure.
