Chelsea‘s winger, Noni Madueke, emphasized the importance of focusing on their performance and winning their remaining three Premier League matches to enhance their chances of qualifying for European competitions next season. After Chelsea’s impressive 5-0 victory over West Ham United, Madueke stated, “Of course we have a chance. If we win all our games we’ll see how the chips fall, but we’ve got to focus on the last three games.”
Chelsea’s recent win boosted them to seventh place in the league standings with 54 points, surpassing Manchester United. However, they are still two points behind Newcastle United in sixth place. Chelsea’s upcoming matches include an away trip to Nottingham Forest on Saturday, followed by another challenging away game against Brighton & Hove Albion on May 15. They will conclude their season with a home fixture against Bournemouth on May 19.
Madueke acknowledged the disappointment of not participating in European competitions this season and highlighted the importance of securing qualification for next year. He emphasized, “When you play for one of the biggest clubs in the world, you have to play in Europe all the time.” He added, “We’re going to do our utmost to finish as high as possible to qualify for European competition for next season. We know what we can do now. So for the rest of the season we’ll put everything into it and go again.”
