Concord’s Platinum Trophy, a sought-after goal for PlayStation enthusiasts, may now be impossible to earn after the game’s delisting and players exploiting XP glitches.
Bollywood Fever: While achievements on Steam don’t hold the same allure as PlayStation’s Platinum trophies, there’s a dedicated group of players, like YouTuber Joelemz, who have turned trophy hunting into a livelihood.
Joelemz documents his journey through games, aiming to secure the elusive Platinum trophy in every title.
Concord’s Platinum Trophy, however, could become a coveted prize for PlayStation enthusiasts, especially considering it may already be out of reach for many.
One of the biggest challenges is grinding to level 100, a task that requires a significant time investment.
But some players have found a shortcut, deliberately losing matches to quickly gain XP, as noted by The Washington Post’s Gene Park in a recent match.
Ironically, Concord has become one of gaming’s biggest failures, despite being a solid game.
Now, the challenge of obtaining the Platinum trophy is even steeper, as the game has been completely de-listed from the PlayStation Store and Steam.
At the time of writing, less than 1% of players—only 12 according to PSN Profiles—have earned the Platinum trophy. With the game’s dwindling player base and exploits distorting gameplay, it’s increasingly difficult to earn trophies through normal means.
When Concord officially shuts down, it’s possible that only a handful of dedicated players will ever have this rare trophy in their collection.
