Courtney Stodden is determined to remove every reminder of her ex-fiancé Chris Sheng from her life.
Almost a year after ending her engagement to Sheng, the model decided to discard her five-carat engagement ring by flushing it down the toilet, according to a video obtained by TMZ on Tuesday.
“I’m just doing a little last-minute spring cleaning before summer,” she said, holding the ring from a jewelry box in her bathroom.
Stodden, 29, walked towards the toilet, adding, “I guess diamonds aren’t always a girl’s best friend after all.”
She took a final look at the large jewel, sighed deeply, and flushed it away.
“Toodaloo,” she said. “Onto the next chapter.”
Stodden and Sheng, 44, who began their relationship in 2017, ended their engagement in July 2023 after two years.
Page Six previously confirmed that the “Love Addict” star is no longer in touch with her ex. Sources revealed to TMZ that jealousy and insecurities contributed to their breakup.
Stodden, who identifies as non-binary and uses she/her and they/them pronouns, started dating the film producer after her split from ex-husband Doug Hutchison, 64.
The “Green Mile” actor and Stodden married controversially in 2011 when he was 51 and she was 16.
Although they separated in 2016, their divorce was finalized in 2020, by which time Stodden had been dating Sheng for three years.
At that time, Stodden expressed her joy at finding love again with Sheng, telling Us Weekly, “It’s hard for me to completely open up to him and trust.”
“I’m constantly pulling back and criticizing everything about everything. I need time to heal and hopefully I can learn how to love again fully.”
