NFL News: BollywoodFever: The Dallas Cowboys suffered a humiliating 47-9 defeat at the hands of the Detroit Lions on Sunday, leaving many to question head coach Mike McCarthy’s job security.

The Cowboys were thoroughly outplayed, with the Lions dominating both sides of the ball. Detroit racked up 492 total yards, including 184 rushing yards, while Dallas settled for just three field goals and failed to find the end zone.

Quarterback Dak Prescott was benched in the fourth quarter after passing for a mere 178 yards with two interceptions, and the Cowboys struggled mightily on the ground, managing just 53 rushing yards as a team.

After the game, team owner Jerry Jones was asked if a coaching change was being considered. “I’m not considering that,” Jones responded in the locker room, reaffirming his support for McCarthy.

Despite leading the team to three consecutive 12-win regular seasons, McCarthy’s inability to translate regular-season success into deep postseason runs continues to be a point of contention.

The Cowboys have not advanced past the Divisional Round since 1995, and last season they were upset by the Green Bay Packers in a 48-32 postseason loss.

Now entering their bye week, the Cowboys face a host of uncertainties as McCarthy is in the final year of his contract, with no extension yet in sight. Dallas will need to regroup and address their glaring issues before they return to action.
