Tennis fans slammed influencer Paige Lorenze for her awkward behavior on the court after Tommy Paul’s victory at the Queen’s Club Championships, accusing her of clout-chasing.
Bollywood Fever: Fans launched into a tirade over Tommy Paul’s influencer girlfriend Paige Lorenze‘s cringeworthy antics after his win at the Queen’s Club Championships.
After besting Lorenzo Musetti in the final, Lorenze broke the norm by joining her boyfriend on the court for a photo opportunity with the trophy. A video of their awkward pictorial went viral as the influencer is seen repeatedly grabbing her boyfriend by the nape while Paul stood stiffly in front of the cameras. Lorenze also appears to give a photographer instructions before the clip cuts off.
Fans were quick to cry foul on Lorenze’s apparent clout-chasing, resulting in trolling the social media personality.
“She dragging that trophy like she won it!” one fan wrote with three laughing-crying emojis.
“This isn’t love, lol,” another added. “All she cares about is being in the spotlight by whatever means necessary.”
“This is all so cringe,” a third wrote. “Since when are gf’s on court especially at a prestigious historic stage as Queen’s? Tennis is becoming a reality TV show.”
“Over-under on how long this is gonna last?!” a fourth wrote, to which another user responded: “Until tomorrow.”
“It feels like she’d rather climb inside his shirts,” a fifth quipped. “This is the weirdest pose with a trophy E.V.E.R. She reminds me of a Kardashian thirsty for fame.”
Lorenze, who boasts 629K Instagram followers, also posted pictures from their on-court celebrations on her page. The carousel included a POV snap of the trophy standing by her feet.
“Love celebrating your hard-earned victory alongside you @tommypaull,” she captioned. “I am so proud of you, and grateful to be by your side through every win and challenge. Here’s to many more! I love you!”
Paul, 12th in the world, moved to a 158-116 career record after capturing his third singles title.
