Ex-Patriots Super Bowl champion Patrick Pass was arrested for allegedly assaulting an 82-year-old man at a Rhode Island Planet Fitness over a dispute about exercise equipment.
BollywoodFever: Patrick Pass, a former running back and three-time Super Bowl champion with the New England Patriots, was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly assaulting an 82-year-old man at a Planet Fitness in Rhode Island.
According to reports from WFXT and the North Providence Police Department, Pass, 45, was charged with assault on a person over 60 causing bodily injury.
The incident took place on August 28, when officers responded to the gym and found the elderly man suffering from injuries to his lower back.
The altercation reportedly stemmed from an argument over exercise equipment, during which Pass allegedly shoved the man, causing him to fall.
Pass, who played college football at the University of Georgia, was drafted by the Patriots in the 2000 NFL Draft and spent seven seasons with the team, contributing to three Super Bowl victories.
This incident has shocked fans and the local community, as Pass had been known for his contributions on the football field during his time with New England.
