Gypsy Rose Blanchard and Ryan Anderson End Their Marriage Three Months Following Her Release from Prison

BollywoodFever, March 29: Gypsy Rose Blanchard and Ryan Scott Anderson have decided to part ways. Blanchard, 32, shared through a private Facebook message, as reported by People, that the couple is separating a little over a year into their marriage, this coming just three months following her departure from prison.

Blanchard revealed she’s temporarily residing at her family’s residence as they take this period to evaluate their situation apart.

“People have been asking what is going on in my life. Unfortunately my husband and I are going through a separation and I moved in with my parents [sic] home down the bayou,” she stated. “I have the support of my family and friends to help guide me through this. I am learning to listen to my heart. Right now I need time to let myself find… who I am.”

This announcement surfaces shortly after Blanchard was released from incarceration, having served seven years for the second-degree murder of her mother, Dee Dee Blanchard, to which she pleaded guilty in 2016. It was during her time in prison that Blanchard and Anderson began exchanging letters, leading to their marriage in July 2022.

In a conversation with ET in January, Blanchard mentioned that it was their shared connection to Louisiana that sparked her interest in Anderson initially.

“Ryan’s from Louisiana… and I’m originally from Louisiana, and I saw that, I’m kinda like, ‘Oh, hey, someone from my home state!’ So I wrote him a letter back and we became friends,” she recounted. “and of course more than friends, and then now we’re married.”

Despite their enthusiasm about beginning their life together and discussions of starting a family, the couple had agreed to take things slowly, focusing on laying a solid foundation for their marriage first.

“I don’t have any reservations,” Blanchard expressed regarding the idea of children. “We both have talked about starting a family, we just don’t know when yet.”

“My life is a little hectic right now. So we’re just trying to take it day by day,” she concluded. “We’re just trying to start off the marriage on a good foot before we bring kids into this situation right now.”
