Israeli Strike in Southern Lebanon Kills 10, Triggers Retaliation from Hezbollah
An Israeli airstrike in Nabatiyeh, southern Lebanon, kills 10 people, prompting Hezbollah to launch rockets into Israel. Tensions escalate as both sides exchange fire.
Bollywood Fever: An Israeli airstrike in Nabatiyeh, southern Lebanon, has killed at least ten people, all of whom were Syrian nationals, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health.
The victims include a woman and her two children. The strike also injured at least five others, two of whom are in critical condition and undergoing surgery.
The Israeli military claimed the target was a Hezbollah weapons storage facility.
The incident marks one of the deadliest in southern Lebanon since Israel began its military campaign in Gaza following the October 7 Hamas attacks that left around 1,200 people dead.

In response to the strike, Iran-backed Hezbollah militants launched a barrage of rockets into northern Israel, specifically targeting Ayelet Hashahar.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that approximately 55 projectiles crossed into Israel, although no injuries were reported.
The exchange of fire between Hezbollah and Israeli forces has been a near-daily occurrence since the start of the conflict, with tensions between the two nations escalating further.
Last month, an Israeli strike in Beirut killed Fu’ad Shukr, a top military commander for Hezbollah, further inflaming the situation.
Speculation has arisen that Hezbollah, potentially independent of Iran, may launch further retaliatory attacks against Israel.
The conflict has also seen significant casualties in Gaza, where an Israeli airstrike killed 15 members of the same family, including nine children, in al-Zawayda.
The IDF stated it was reviewing reports of civilian casualties while confirming the deaths of militants involved in launching rockets at Israeli forces.
As violence continues to escalate, the Israeli government remains cautiously optimistic about ongoing hostage and truce talks, with international mediators working to bridge the remaining gaps between Israel and Gaza. The situation remains tense as both sides prepare for potential further conflict.
