After a source revealed that Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are taking some “space” from each other, the couple was seen putting on a united front for Affleck’s daughter Violet’s high school graduation.
On Thursday, May 30, the couple attended Violet’s graduation festivities in Los Angeles. Affleck, dressed in a gray suit without a tie, was photographed carrying a wicker basket filled with gifts, while Lopez walked beside him in a plunging floral tea-length dress with a black velvet belt.
Lopez accessorized with a gold heart pendant necklace, chain bracelet, PVC heeled sandals, a rectangular metal purse, and her signature oversized sunglasses. Affleck‘s mom, Anne Boldt, was also present as they made their way to the celebrations. Affleck shares Violet, as well as Seraphina and Samuel, with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
This marks their first joint outing since May 19, when they were seen leaving the Aero Theatre together after arriving separately. They were photographed walking through the parking garage, both wearing their wedding rings.
A source told that the two “are continuing to take space from each other. They’ve been having issues for a few months and trying to figure things out on their own.”
While living separately and working through their issues, Lopez is focusing on her career. “Jen has been having a hard time dealing with the general stress of life as well as in her career.
She has been experiencing ups and downs while processing everything,” the insider added. “She has been throwing herself into work, which has always been an outlet for her to stay busy and distracted.”
