JT and GloRilla have found themselves embroiled in a heated exchange, sparked by JT’s denial of any physical confrontation between her and the Memphis artist.
The dispute ignited following JT, real name Jatavia Johnson, addressing a comment on an Instagram repost by The Shade Room of her tweet, which appeared to be a reaction to GloRilla’s remarks about their rapport.
A follower, @sashasleigh, posed a question regarding rumors of GloRilla slapping JT at an award ceremony, to which JT vehemently replied, “SHE NEVER SLAPPED ME! EVER!!!! EVER NEVER like y’all find somebody else to play with.”
The speculation about their altercation was first brought to light by The Rap-Up in October 2023, claiming it happened at the MTV Video Music Awards.
The situation escalated when JT criticized GloRilla for seemingly perpetuating the rumor through her music, referencing a track where GloRilla mentions slapping fellow rappers.
GloRilla fired back in a deleted tweet, with a blunt dismissal of JT’s complaints, while also criticizing her appearance. The exchange devolved into a series of insults traded between the two.
JT mockingly warned GloRilla of retaliation, while GloRilla hinted at confronting JT at her performances. The Memphis rapper also tagged JT with a prisoner number, questioning JT’s intentions in their conflict.
This exchange comes after JT’s assertive tweet on April 3, where she warned against indirect criticisms from peers in the rap industry, expressing her intolerance for such behavior.
In the midst of their online feud, GloRilla released her latest project, ‘Ehhthang Ehhthang’, which includes the song ‘Aite’. In it, she comments on her relationship with JT, clarifying that while they may not be close, there is no animosity between them, stating, “Me and JT ain’t the best of friends but we ain’t beefin’.”
