Robyn Lively responds to fan support amid rumors of tension between Blake Lively and director Justin Baldoni during the production of “It Ends with Us.”
Bollywood Fever: Robyn Lively is standing by her sister Blake Lively amid swirling rumors of tension between the Gossip Girl alum and It Ends with Us director Justin Baldoni.
As Blake celebrated her 37th birthday on August 25, Robyn responded to a fan’s supportive comment on Instagram, showing that Blake has plenty of love surrounding her.
“Blake is a lovely human being! I hope she knows that the multitudes of people who love her is so much greater than the negative voices. Happy Birthday Blake!!” the fan wrote under Robyn’s Instagram post. Robyn replied, “Thank you for this,” acknowledging the heartfelt message.
Blake, who celebrated her birthday with husband Ryan Reynolds and close friends including Taylor Swift and Gigi Hadid, has kept a low profile since It Ends with Us hit theaters earlier this month.
The Colleen Hoover adaptation premiered in New York on August 6, where rumors of a rift between Blake and Justin began to circulate.
During the premiere, Justin, who directed and starred as Ryle in the film, seemed distant from Blake and the rest of the cast, fueling speculation.
Despite the rumors, Justin praised Blake for her contributions as a producer on the film, telling Access Hollywood on August 7, “She was extremely involved, and she really made the film better.
There were many instances where I honestly just tried to get out of the way and let her take the lead.”
Blake herself has spoken about the creative decisions she made during production, including involving her husband, Ryan Reynolds, in the process. “The iconic rooftop scene, my husband actually wrote it,” Blake shared with E! News. “He works on everything I do. I work on everything he does. So his wins, his celebrations are mine and mine are his.”
While some fans have speculated that Blake may have overstepped in her role during filming, she has received strong support from her peers.
Brandon Sklenar, who plays Atlas in the film, recently defended Blake in an Instagram post, writing, “Vilifying women who put so much of their heart and soul into making this film because they believe so strongly in its message seems counterproductive and detracts from what the film is about. It is, in fact, the opposite of the point.”
As the rumors continue, it’s clear that Blake Lively has a solid support system, including her sister Robyn and co-star Brandon, standing by her side.
