Distributors from few regions wanted to back out from the film as Nana Patekar was playing a solo role in a mainstream film.Mehul Kumar assured them that he wouldn’t ask them any penny to whatever amount they have payed him at the moment and he will bear the further losses if film doesn’t work. During the trial show the same distributors got ready to pour any amount of money for the film.
The film won Nana Patekar tremendous acclaim.
In real life Nana Patekar is older than Paresh Rawal but Paresh played the role of a man way older than Nana in this movie.
Nana’s last speech was all impromptu, the dialogues were not written.
