Iman Shumpert believes LeBron James will play for at least two or three more seasons, aiming to share the court with his son, Bronny. Find out more about his future plans.
BollywoodFever: As LeBron James approaches his 40th birthday, fans are speculating about when the NBA legend will finally hang up his jersey. In a recent interview with RG.org, former teammate Iman Shumpert shared his thoughts on James’ future in the league. Shumpert confidently predicted that James will play at least two or three more seasons, largely because of his desire to play alongside his son, Bronny James, who was drafted by the Los Angeles Lakers in 2024.

“I’d say three,” Shumpert said. He explained that LeBron’s plan is likely to guide Bronny through his first two years in the league, adding that James could retire after that if he feels Bronny is ready to excel on his own.
James recently signed a two-year, $104 million contract extension with the Lakers, making Shumpert’s prediction a strong possibility. Whether LeBron decides to play two or three more seasons, he could be 42 or 43 by the time he officially retires.
For now, the basketball world waits to see how the father-son duo will fare on the court and how long LeBron will continue his legendary career.
