According to ET, Majors will no longer be involved in any projects he was previously slated to star in, including Avengers: The Kang Dynasty (2026) and Avengers: Secret Wars (2027). These projects were still in the early stages of development, with no set production dates or shooting schedules.
As of now, there is no official word from Marvel regarding how they plan to address the situation, such as whether they will recast the character or alter the narrative direction. Deadline was the first to report this development.
Following a split verdict on Monday, the Creed III star was found guilty of one count of assault and one count of harassment, while being acquitted of two other counts. The jury deliberated for approximately five hours over parts of three days before reaching the verdict.
Majors’ lawyer, Priya Chaudhry
Following the verdict being read, Majors’ lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, released a statement addressing the outcome of the trial.
“It is clear that the jury did not believe Grace Jabbari’s story of what happened in the SUV because they found that Mr. Majors did not intentionally cause any injuries to her. We are grateful for that,” Chaudhry stated. “We are disappointed, however, that despite not believing Ms. Jabbari, the jury nevertheless found that Mr. Majors was somehow reckless while she was attacking him.”
“Mr. Majors is grateful to God, his family, his friends, and his fans for their love and support during these harrowing eight months,” the statement added. “Mr. Majors still has faith in the process and looks forward to fully clearing his name.”
Sentencing Date
Judge Michael Gaffey has disclosed that Jonathan Majors’ sentencing will be revealed on February 6. The 34-year-old actor may face up to a year in jail, considering that third-degree assault is a class A misdemeanor with a maximum one-year jail sentence, and second-degree harassment is a violation punishable by up to 15 days in jail.
As part of the legal orders, Majors has been directed to maintain a distance from his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. According to an eyewitness who spoke with a news outlet, Majors faced the jury during the verdict reading and, at one point, lowered his gaze. His girlfriend, Meagan Good, appeared visibly distressed.
In response to the trial’s outcome, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg provided a statement, emphasizing their commitment to prioritizing survivors. Bragg noted that the evidence presented during the trial exposed a disturbing cycle of psychological and emotional abuse, reflective of common patterns seen in many intimate partner violence cases. The jury concluded that this pattern led to Mr. Majors assaulting and harassing his girlfriend. The district attorney expressed gratitude to the jury for their service and commended the survivor for bravely sharing her story despite the emotional toll of reliving her trauma on the witness stand.
