Netflix Launches “Now Popping” Popcorn Line with Popcorn Indiana
Netflix introduces “Now Popping,” a ready-to-eat popcorn line in collaboration with Popcorn Indiana. Available at Walmart and other retailers, it features flavors perfect for summer streaming.
Bollywood Fever: Netflix is venturing into the snack industry, introducing a ready-to-eat popcorn line perfect for enjoying while streaming your favorite shows or movies.
The announcement, made on Netflix’s website, encouraged subscribers to “kick off summer” with a bag from their new popcorn line, branded as Now Popping. The site invites viewers to “enjoy your new favorite movie or show with a delicious bag of popcorn.”
To bring this new product to life, Netflix partnered with Popcorn Indiana. Currently, there are two flavors available: Cult Classic Cheddar Kettle and Swoonworthy Cinnamon Kettle. However, as of now, only Cult Classic Cheddar Kettle is listed on Popcorn Indiana’s website, which offers a variety of other sweet and savory flavors. An 8-ounce bag of Now Popping is priced at $4.49, which is close to Netflix’s Basic subscription plan at $6.99 a month.
Now Popping is available in Walmart stores across the U.S. and other retailers. Popcorn Indiana provides a locator search to help customers find nearby stores carrying the popular snack.
This isn’t Netflix’s first collaboration to offer viewers a tasty treat. Previously, they teamed up with Ben & Jerry’s to create the Netflix & Chill’d ice cream.
Both snacks are ideal for the warmer months ahead, with Netflix announcing their popcorn line alongside their summer streaming lineup. This includes new seasons of Too Hot to Handle and Cobra Kai, as well as the final season of The Umbrella Academy—plenty of binge-worthy shows that might just require a snack or two on the side.
